THE PROJECT:

Crossroads Commercial Park is a mixed-use development located in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa a county-seat community of over 9,000 residents located in the heart of the south-eastern part of the state. This 9.3 acre site will accommodate a variety of users including retail, office and hotels. Mt. Pleasant is a growing community with a number of recent retail, industrial and office developments with a positive daytime population increases of 4,318 (49.3%). The community features a strong educational system and is home to several institutes of higher learning including Iowa Wesleyan College and Southeastern Community College. Mount Pleasant is also home to the Midwest Old Threshers Reunion and Midwest Central Railroad's Ghost Train and North Pole Express exhibits. The community offers a diverse business base including 18 large industries that do everything from plastic molding to building fireplaces. The central business district is a historic downtown square and the citizens of Mount Pleasant are proud of the city projects that have been completed in the last decade including a new high school, aquatic center, library and a new civic center.
